Spinning girl

We are YouTube and Google spinners, self-taught with the assistance of low-resolution videos and superior keyword choices.

Sophie as usual is intuitive with her fine-motor skills, particularly as pertaining to fibre crafts. So far we are practicing on the undyed fleece, saving our four fleecy colours for a skein of multi-coloured Noro-style single ply.

  1. Coming at this from a rock- and rope- climbing point of view, rather than a fibre crafts point of view, I have to suggest braiding that hair before it gets caught in something!

I got my hair badly snagged in an ascending device once, and I don't plan to do it again.

  2. Ouch, Aly! Sophie has knit her hair into various projects by accident. She hasn't yet spun it into yarn but you're probably right, that's coming. We got her a book on braiding for her birthday, so there's no excuse.
