Looks beautiful! You don't really need railings, do you? I always feel they clutter up the clean lines of a deck. 'Course, it's hard to tell how high up it is... ;)
I love this deck! Can I ask what it's called? My husband is looking to make a deck, and this looks like what we're needing. Have you decided on what to do with the sides yet? We're going with pots.
Dana, it's not called anything that I know of. I just drew up plans to utilize the natural shade and sunlight we get at various times of the day.
We still haven't completely decided what to do with the sides. There are now pots along the main front edge, which is "low," just 18" off the ground. The diagonal apron now has a very rudimentary temporary railing. I'm thinking of building a gazebo / pergola sort of thing over it.

ReplyDeleteFour and a bit feet up at the end of the apron off the right. We'll go minimalist with whatever it is we do, I think.
ReplyDeleteYou made a STAGE for performing on!
ReplyDeleteDepending on how high it is, I vote for no railings as well:) Looks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteSorry I should have read the other comments first re: height. Some potted plants would be nice too:) Looks like a big space:)
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!
ReplyDeleteWow! It looks lovely!
