Shiny black stools
In the medical world, shiny black stools have a different meaning, but today at our house, they mean that the short little orchestra kids will have their feet planted. We finished staining them today.I think they look great. Children were only minimally stained during the process of finishing them.

Greetings from one Suzuki family to another. I have enjoyed reading many of your violin related posts today. I can so relate to so many things you have written with my two budding violinists. Thanks for writing so much detail! It is very encouraging to see how far your kids have come. It is a long road! I wish I had personal violin skill of my own, but I can just about read music. I fear I will be holding my kids back soon. Come visit us at http;//violinkids.blogspot.com . Blessings, Violin Mom in Florida
